Helau!

Hello everybody,

it’s another hot day in paradise, and if that weren’t enough, it’s also carnival!!! Yep, you heard right, carnival is in the middle of July, and it has the whole island in its grasp, or at least that’s what it likes to think. Yesterday was a holiday and today is a half-day, and we got time off work to go and see what all the fuzz is about… The people I’ve talked to about it so far are divided in their opinion, some thinking it’s the greatest thing ever, others eerr being less enthusiastic about the event. Anyway, we’re going today, so I’ll be much the wiser tonight.

Other than that we are dog-sitting at the moment, Matt is back at headquarters (Jersey) for a week, so we’ve got the honour of looking after mad-eye Bill. Yesterday morning I went to the beach with him and picked up a very pretty piece of driftwood, which now resides in my wardrobe cause he’s been trying to knick it, and it wouldn’t last 5 minutes with him. So now he gives my wardrobe a very knowing look every now and again, so fairly certain he is planning another assault on my poor piece of wood…

I’m afraid there is not much else newsworthy going on at the moment, the trees are still there, the iguanas are still elusive and my highlight of last week was the new Harry Potter! Even watched it in 3D, which worked well for it, I reckon.

Anyways, since I really can’t think of anything to talk about I’m gonna leave you guys to it now, have a good week and stay tuned for reports on carnival in St. Lucia!
